How to Check if Your Android Device is Original or a Clone

Android is the most common platform(OS) in the world. Almost every person has an android device. But not every android device we see nowadays is real. Piracy has gained popularity in local markets. That is why it is hard sometimes to distinguish between an original and a fake android device.
So, today we will have a walk-through of all those things you should keep in mind before buying an android. Lets begin without wasting a second.

Main Things to Remember

1. Check if Your Processor/Chipset is Original

Chipset is also known as processor. If your phone is a clone, it will most likely have a MediaTek(in more than 90% of the cases) or Allwinner chipset(in 3-5% of the cases). To see which processor your phone actually has, just see its specifications from internet, you will find that out. Most of the android devices have Snapdragoon processor while some Samsung devices have Exynos processor. Some Huawei devices also have their own processor. In order to check it yourself that which processor your mobile is equipped with, simple download CPU-Z application from Play Store.

2. Boot to Recovery to See if it's in English language or in Chinese

In most of the Chinese phones, recovery mode isn't in English but in Chinese. No original device will ever have its recovery mode in Chinese. Just boot to recovery to check these things. Google "how to boot+(your device name)+to recovery". In most of the devices, you have to power off your device completely and as soon a the screen goes black, press Vol. Up+Power button. For many Samsung devices, the key combination is like Power+Home+Vol. Up.

3.[SAMSUNG] Try Booting to Odin Mode

Odin mode is found only in original Samsung devices. It is used to flash firmwares or flash files. In order to boot to Odin Mode, follow these steps.

BOOT TO ODIN MODE
  1. Power off the device completely
  2. Press and hold Volume Down and home button.
  3. While holding both keys, press and hold the power button.
  4. Press Volume Up to accept the disclaimer.
  5. The phone will now go to odin mode.

4.Check the Camera Quality

Click some pictures and check their quality, in most of the cases you'll notice a difference in the quality of the image, but some high end clones also provide good camera quality. But still I'd say that good camera quality in clones is quite rare.

5. Watch out for Bloatware!

In many Chinese clones, their are some Chinese apps pre-installed. If that's the case, it could be a clone.

CONCLUSION

Out of all these steps, first one in my opinion is the most reliable. There could be some more ways to spot a Chinese clone. Comment below if you know any.
