Reasons why Android Phones are Better than iPhone

Android was unveiled in 2007 by Google and the first Android device was released in 2008. Before Android, first ever iPhone was released by Apple in 2007 which is still a tough competitor of Android.
 
Most of the people nowadays use Android as it has many advantages as compared to iPhone devices. The evolution of Android can be said to be a rags-to-riches story. If it can be said that the biggest contribution of iOS is to bring a shocking revolution, then Android is a trend that has driven the overall advancement of touch-screen smart phones. More and more smart phones in the market today are using Android systems that will undoubtedly benefit millions of mobile users. I think this is the result of a wide range of achievements and attainments Android brings.

Let's move on to the main points.

1) Better Battery

Along with the evolution of technology, our Android devices are getting improved; we are getting better and bigger displays, better camera and performance, but along with these things battery life has decreased as compared to what we would get on an old Nokia Feature Phone. But we have seen a lot of improvement in battery sector of Android devices. In most of the cases, we can easily spend a whole day without the necessity of charging our  phone. Some Android phones also provide removable battery which does come in handy in emergency situations when your battery is dead. 

    

     But iOS devices on the other hand don't even provide a good battery. You have to charge your phone more than twice a day and it drains way more quickly. So, Android can easily defeat iPhone in terms of battery life. 

2) Expandable Storage

With the release of new and exciting apps, we want many apps in our phones. But low storage is always a problem in such situations. But expandable storage option is useful to go for in these circumstances. Most of the Android devices provide an SD Card slot for expanding the storage which is really useful thing. But, unfortunately in iPhone devices, we still haven't seen any SD Card slot yet which is one of the biggest cons of iPhone devices. That's where Android is better than iPhone.

3) Paid Apps

There are tons of apps in App Store. Some of them are free while many of them aren't. For most of the apps, if you want to get premium features you'll have to pay some bucks for it. Same is the case with Android but luckily in Android, you've got an option to look for that paid app on internet and download it for free from there. Unfortunately, there exists no such option in iPhone devices. This option is really useful and Android is a winner here. 

4) Customizations

When it comes to customizations, there are almost zero options related to it in iOS. You can't even change homescreen in iOS devices. While in Android you've got tons of options for customizations. There are many launchers on Play Store that give your Android device a new look. You can also flash custom ROMs such as Cyanogenmod or LineageOS where you have a complete theme engine and thousands of themes to download.

5) Administrative Rights

Android  is open-source operating system while iOS is closed-source. That means you can't make any alterations in iOS, while in Android, you can. You can get administrative rights in Android simply by rooting it. Although it voids your warranty, but it's a lot of fun to do. You can change the total looks of you Android, set it up the way you like, improve battery life and performance, flash custom ROMs and many things. While in iPhones, there is no option as good as rooting. Although you can jailbreak your device but that isn't as reliable as rooting and you might even end up damaging your device.

6) More Affordable

Nowadays, price of most of the iOS devices start at more than $800 which isn't affordable for everyone. Even if you take a look at $999 iPhone, it won't have better specs as compared to a $600 Android phone. Moreover they don't even have headphone jack and SD Card slot. That's why many people prefer Android over iPhone. And this is also the reason Chinese Android companies are able to compete so well against Apple.

Well, now you know that Android is a clear winner. It is also most widely used platform across the world. With that being said, it doesn't mean that iPhones are useless and bad devices, it is still better in terms of performance, camera and privacy as compared to Android.
